Legend of Chu Chok:
Chu Chok was Brahman in India. He never worked because he begged everything from people that he could keep a lot of money from begging. Therefore, he deposited the money that he had kept for long time with his friends (couple) who have very beautiful daughter. The name of beautiful daughter is “Nang Amitada”. After Chu Chok deposited the money with his friends, he went out to another city to beg. Then, he came back to take the money from his friends but they spent out the money. Therefore, they decided to give a daughter to be wife of Chu Chok. Chu Chok afraid his wife will work hard so he went to Phra WetSonDon (previous life of Buddha) for begged KanHa and Chalee who were children of Phra WetSonDon to serve Nang Amitada. While Chu Chok, KanHa and Chalee came back to Nang Amitada, they met “Phra Chao SanChai”who was grandfather of KanHa and Chalee. Phra Chao SanChai ransomed his grandchildren from Chu Chok by lot of money and good food. Chu Chok had never eaten good food, so he ate and ate until he died from over eating.
