Power: Phra Nak Prok Bai Makham (Bai Makham: small size in the shape of tamarind leaf) is one of ‘Benja Phaki’ the 5 famous amulets in Thailand.
The Buddha image covered by the Naga is known as Phra Nak Prok or Pang Nak Prok. This image originated when Buddha was practicing enlightenment. He sat beneath a large Bodhi tree called Srimahapho and engaged in meditation. During this time, it rained continuously for seven days and seven nights. Phaya Mujarin, the king of great snakes, noticed this and became concerned that Buddha would get wet. Thus, he provided shelter by covering Buddha like an umbrella. Interestingly, Phaya Mujarin had faith in Buddha, and after the rain stopped, he transformed into a human and paid his respects.
Phra Nak Prok possesses a strong protective power, warding off harm, dangers, and misfortunes. It brings peace and has the ability to transform negative destinies into positive ones. People born on a Saturday are particularly auspicious to worship Phra Nak Prok in order to improve their lives and increase their luck. However, worshiping Phra Nak Prok is beneficial for individuals on other days as well.
About LP Pimmalai
LP Pimmalai, Wat Hoop Makam, Ratchaburi Province was the creator of the holy needle embedded in body for being invulnerable called "Khem Thong Kanong Rit".
He was born in 2441 BE (1898 CE). He was a nephew of LP Thongsuk Wat Tanod Luang. He learned the subject of the holy needle from LP Sompong Wat Nongmai Lueng in Phetchaburi Province.
LP Pimmalai passed away on 19 August 2519 BE (1976 CE) at the age of 78.
