The Biography of LP Rian
“Phra Sophon Samacar” or “Luang Pu Rian Suwannachote” was known as a close pupil and had inherited the wisdom from “Luang Pu Yim”, an important abbot of Wat Nong Bua, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province, who is well known as an ancient teacher with extremely high Buddhist knowledge and most importantly, Luang Pu Yim also taught his students to become monks. Famous in the field of occultism in the later era, in addition to Luang Pu Rian. In addition to Wat Nong Bua, there are also Luang Pu Dee of Wat Nuea, Luang Pu Jai of Wat Sadet, Luang Pho Son of Wat Lat Ya, Luang Pho Chaem of Wat Chulamanee, Luang Pho Hang of Wat Nuea, Luang Pho Dokmai. Wat Don Chedi, Luang Por Muean, Wat Klang Nuea, etc.
LP Rian, whose original name is Rian Rassuwan, is the son of Thai-Chinese people. Born on January 6, 1876. LP Rian was ordained at Wat Sri Upalaram (Wat Nong Bua) with Luang Por Yim. As a preceptor, he received the nickname "Suvannachoti".
Luang Pu Rian is another famous monk from Kanchanaburi Province. He was known as a close disciple and was inherited from Luang Pu Yim. When Luang Pu Yim passed away He was later appointed abbot.
LP Rian passed away peacefully in 1960 at the age of 84 (63 years in monkhood).
