**Phra Kroo from Wat Wang Bua is regarded as standard of anicent Buddhas that has been popular and taken to amulet contests. That is because Wat Wang Bua is an old temple.
Wat Wang Bua is an old temple that was built since the beginning of Rattanakosin around 1782, more than 200 years old. The place where the Buddha image was found is on the wall of Wat Wang Bua, which is still in ruins. It is estimated that it was built during the reigning Khmer period (Lopburi era 1600-1800 BC) or more than seven hundred years ago. In those days, the Khmer had come to rule the Suvarnabhumi region. therefore set up the city of Lavo or Lop Buri as the capital and occupied the city of Phetchaburi. As evidenced by Khmer-influenced archaeological sites, including Phra Prang 5 Yod at Wat Mahathat Prasat Hin Kamphaeng Laeng 5 peaks at Wat Kamphaeng Laeng .
