For Your Information: Somdet Phra Phutthakhosachan (Charoen Yanwaro), formerly known as Charoen Sukbot, nicknamed Yanavaro, is the Supreme Patriarch of the Thammayut Sect. Has held important positions in the administration of the Thai Sangha, such as the Sangha Nayok, the Northern Primate Abbot of Wat Thepsirintrawat Ratchaworawihan, etc.
Somdet Phra Phutthakhosachan, whose original name was Charoen, was born on Tuesday, July 9, 1872, in Chonburi Province, at the age of 8 years, studied in the office of Phra Chonthopamakun Muni (Put Punnako) Temple. Khao Bang Sai, Muang District, Chonburi Province.
At the age of 12, he was ordained as a novice at a pavilion in his grandmother's garden. By inviting Phra Chonthopamakun Muni (Put Punnako) to be his preceptor. He continued to study in the same school until he was 14 years old, then moved to study in the school of Provost Vinaithorn (Chai), an encyclopedia in the royal family. Phra Arun Niphakunakorn until he was 20 years old, then returned to be ordained at Khao Bang Sai Temple on Friday, June 11, 1892 by Phra Chonlathopamakunmunee (Put Punnako) as his preceptor. Received the Dharma title that Nyanwaro.
After ordination, he moved to Wat Kanmatuyaram for 4 years because it was close to the teacher's Samnak (learning house) was Phraya Thammapreecha (Boon) and then moved to study with Phra Thep Kawee (On Ahusko) of Phitchayatikaram Temple. Worawihan Until the year 1896, he passed the Barian Tri and then moved to Wat Thepsirintrawat in the year 1897 to study the Vinaya Pitaka from Phra Chao Nong Ya Ther. Krommuen Wachirayanwarorot And in the same year passed the exams Barian Ek.
The Biography of LP Chao Khun Nor
LP Chao Khun Nor, was an abbot of Wat Tepsirin and close royal servant of King Rama VI. He had ordained a monk at Wat Dhepsirin in 1925 and never left his monkhood until he passed away in early 1971 at the age of 74. In his long years of monkhood, he ate only one vegetable ad cereal meal a day and never stepped out of the temple even in the period. In the war time, Bangkok railway main station just few KM away from the temple was intensively bombed by the allied force, but the bombs missed the target and hit the temple. Almost all monks left the temple for safety, but he was still living there. LP Chao Khun Nor, was strict Dhamma practicer. He practiced advanced Dhamma, devoted all his monkhood life to follow Lord Buddha’s teachings, and never mixed the morning and evening chant at Ubosoth until the end of his life.
Chao Khun Nor passed away on 8 Jan. BE2514 (CE1971).
