Purpose: to earn donations to develop and restore permanent structures in temple.
Ceremony: holy blessing by Phra Kru Sophonkittayatorn and monks on 6 June 2021 following Khao Or method.
Power: Wua Tanu is a magical ox figurine (the same kind as Kwai ThaNoo, buffalo). It is related to Thai lifestyle that relies on agriculture. In the past, Wua Tanu or Kwai ThaNoo was a talisman for a hunter whose job was risky to protect himself from invisible danger. In fact, Wua Tanu or Kwai ThaNoo is created to fight against bad spirits and black magic done by bad people. So, having Wua Tanu or Kwai ThaNoo will keep you and your house safe from bad spirits, black magic and also thieves that will fear and run away for lives. Moreover, it is believed to prevent fire and thunderbolt and bring good luck and wealth. Having it when selling, will attract customers as well. This is why Wua Tanu or Kwai ThaNoo has been existed in Thai belief for a long time.
About the Guru Monk:
Phra Kru Sophonkittiyatorn or Phra Ajarn Ransiri Sirinthano is a present abbot of Wat PuKowThong, Phatthalung Province after LP Kloy passed away (14 December 2014).
Phra Kru Sophonkittiyatorn was born on 21 January BE 2515 (CE 1972). Got ordained on 20 January BE 2536 (CE 1993) at Wat Ban Suan, Phatthalung Province.
Phra Kru Sophonkittiyatorn keeps on magic of Khao Or . Ever studied magic with LP Phrom abbot of Wat Ban Suan till Brahmins and occult laymen and also knows Khmer language.
