Brief Biography - Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata

Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata was born in the region of Parantasi, India, the son of Brahmin Yatana and his wife Matito. He lived during the time of the Buddha and witnessed the tranquility of the Buddha while walking with the alms bowl. Impressed by the serene demeanor, he decided to become a disciple. He was ordained at the age of seven and diligently practiced until reaching the highly attained state of Arahatta at the age of twenty-three.

During his youth, Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata possessed remarkable beauty and a melodious voice akin to a Garuda bird. Standing at a height of 185 centimeters, he had a reddish face and a nose that came straight down without a bridge. His mouth was well-proportioned and his gait resembled that of a lion. At the age of twenty-six, he unexpectedly fell in love with a woman who embraced him from behind. Due to his infatuation with her beauty, he renounced his celestial body and was reborn in the human world. He left his monkhood in the city of Sawati and, according to the laws of conventional existence, he did not enter the realm of Arahatta.

He existed as a celestial being and began to cultivate his powers in the realm of celestial beings. With his extraordinary abilities, he was able to conquer various maras and became a celestial being beyond the realms of conventional existence. Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata did not desire to become a Buddhist deity as he did not aspire to be an anagami or attain enlightenment in the realm of celestial beings. His aspiration was to become a Buddha who cultivated powers to subdue maras. He was a pure being, the most disciplined and orderly, detesting women. He held the highest position with sixteen levels and was the master of the ceremonies in the realm of celestial beings. He knew various ceremonial procedures of the celestial realm and possessed the power to recite Phatakas (hymns).

His aura radiated like the golden sun, spanning a radius of 500 meters. His eyes were beautiful and sharp like an eagle's. His hair was gathered in a bun on top of his head, which was adorned with a golden tiara. His attire was half divine and half celestial, with a pure white robe. In his right hand, he held a divine staff that emitted a radiant light resembling a rainbow. He resided in the thirteenth heaven, built with crystal, and the floor was made of pure gold. Diamonds adorned the edges of the roof, and lions protected the surroundings. No one dared to step on the crystal without authority. There were several celestial realms like this.

Luang Pho Somdet Phra Phuttacharya (Toh), the abbot of Wat Rakhang, compiled and edited the "Phra Katha Chin Bancha" using Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata's name to pay homage to Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata, who provided guidance on various methods of properly awakening and consecrating sacred objects and amulets according to the rules of the celestial realm. This was called the "Phra Samut Chin Ban" and "Theva Ban." The lineage of Luang Pho Somdet became one of the royal lineages of sacred objects.

During the time of the Buddha's enlightenment, when the Buddha Mother Kuan Yin was still cultivating to become a Buddha Mother, Tao Mahaprom Chinnapanata protected and safeguarded her practice from distractions. The Chinese people revered him as "Hu-Hua Po Sing" or "Tai Hiong Por Soh."

In particular, he was highly respected by the Japanese, becoming an important sect called "Nikai Chindono."
