About Temple:
Wat Phra That Choeng Chum Woraviharn is a beautiful temple in Sakhon Nakhon City. It is a sacred place for people of the Province and contains a remarkable Chiang Saen-style Buddha statue, called Luang Por Phra Ong Saen. It is said that the image was crafted around 1257 A.D. Initially this site was a Khmer temple and today's chedi was built over the original Khmer prang, which can still be seen through the doors of the chedi. We visited the temple twice, once in 2002 and again in 2007.
