Amulets for Superpower, Ascendancy, and Influence
In Thai culture, amulets have been a significant part of daily life for centuries. Despite the rapid changes and advancements in society, the belief in amulets has endured, evolving and adapting to modern times. The notion of amulets is deeply rooted in Thai people's spiritual beliefs, and their significance is not limited to mere superstition. In fact, many Thais believe that these talismans possess superpower-like abilities that can bring them protection, good fortune, and even invincibility.

History of “Mitmor” (magical knife) LP Derm:

When talking about superb protective talisman in the past, we, Thai people think of Mitmor (magical knife) of Luang Por Derm, Wat Nongpho, Nakhon Sawan Province who was a superb guru monk of Thailand.

Knife from LP Derm is regarded very powerfully protective against all dangers and bad powers.

One legend, Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, the longest-in-position prime minster of Thailand (15 years: CE1938-1944, 1948-1957) respected LP Derm very much and always carried along a small knife blessed by LP Derm to protect himself from attack and dangers because being the head of army was not safe (some who disagreed tried to assassinated him). **On 9 November 1938, Sir Marshal was sniped. Miraculously, sniper could not fire the gun for 2 times. Then he chased and fired Sir Marshal until bullets ran out, but Sir Marshal was not damaged at all. At last, the sniper was arrested. On that day, Sir Marshal had a small knife LP Derm in his shirt!

About the Guru Monk:

LUANGPU JUE was born on Thursday 17 June 2486 BE (1943 CE) in Chaiyaphum Province. His family was poor, but LP Jue was diligent. He helped parents work for life. He went to Bangkok for a job and was an assistant in the tailor shop. In 2518 BE (1975 CE), at age 32, LP Jue got ordained as a Buddhist monk for quietness of mind.

After ordination, LP Jue followed LP Phang Jittakutato who was a respectable Northeastern monk. LP Phang was a good monk who did useful things for community for example being the head of building the dam to help agriculture. Therefore, LP Phang is a role model of LP Jue.

In 2523 BE (1980 CE), when LP Jue already stayed at Wat Khao Ta NgoUdomphorn, he heard that villagers had problems with water scarcity. So, LP Jue had an idea of building the earth dam. He led monks and villagers to do that. With a good cooperation between monks and people as well as support from local government, the earth dam was successful. Today, people have enough water for everyday use and cultivation.
