Description: This batch is presented by Wat Yothanimit, Trat Province in order to contribute to chapel building at Wat Ao Salad, Trat Province. The temple gained kindness from LP Hok to exclusively bless collection of King Taksin Medals on 6 Nov. 2016 at Wat Ratreungsook, Chonburi Province.
King Taksin is the famous king whom Thai people never forget because he did a great favor for nation by saving Thailand from being occupied by Myanmar in the second loss of Ayutthaya kingdom. After that, he set Thongburi kingdom and established himself as the king. Thai people believe King Taksin spirit will help and protect worshiper. Moreover, Thai people like to pray to King Taksin for success such as in business, career and studying.
About LP Hok:
Luang Pu Hok is a famous guru monk in the Eastern Thailand. He is well-behaved and highly respected by Buddhists and monks. LP Hok studied mantras from many top guru monks in the past. Also, LP Hok is a friend of LP Tone Kantasilo who is a well-known guru monk of this age as well.
LP Hok was born around 2468 BE (1925 CE) in Chachoengsao Province. He holds Thai citizenship but Chinese nationality because his parents were Chinese. He got ordained when he was 48 at Wat BoonYaRitTaYaRam (Wat Bueng Bon) in Chonburi Province. After ordination, LP Hok set his heart on dharma and meditation. 3 years after that, he often went to Wat Khao Noi Kiriwan in the same Province (Chonburi). LP Hok came here to talk to LP Tone, a well-known guru monk in Chonburi Province. In fact, they are close friends. LP Hok knew LP Tone when they were young working together as workers in the wood factory, Chonburi Province. LP Tone is older than LP Hok. LP Hok always calls LP Tone brother. 10 years after ordination, LP Hok moved to Wat Ratreungsook, Chonburi Province and then became an abbot.
LP Hok is a simple monk. He does not want anything other than peace in mind. He is kind to people and animals. He is diligent. Every day, after he wakes up, he sweeps the leaves off the patio. Then he feeds cats. When he finishes lunch, he goes to the chapel to do meditation. LP Hok never talks about his magical power towards his amulets. Amulet worshippers find the holiness of amulets by themselves. All is why people love and respect LP Hok wholeheartedly.
