LP Sor was born on Monday 3 March 2472 BE (1929 CE) in Surin Province. When he was young, he was a good child. His parents planted him good deeds of 5 Buddhist precepts:
1. To omit killing humans and animals.
2. To omit stealing.
3. To omit committing adultery.
4. To omit telling a lie, be rude and instigate people to do wrong.
5. To omit drinking alcohol and take narcotics.
Then his parents took him to a monk to learn reading and writing. At the age of 19, LP Sor got ordained as a Buddhist novice and at the age of 20 he became a monk. After ordination, LP Sor felt interested in mantra, so he went to several magical experts both monks and laymen to learn it. Soon, LP Sor all understood. Additionally, LP Sor is a friend of LP Hong of Wat Petchburi, Surin. After that, LP Sor went on a pilgrimage walking in the woods to Laos and Cambodia. For 5 years during pilgrimage, LP Sor intensively practiced meditation and gained strong mindfulness (Samathi).
