People believe Phra RaHoo from this temple can change bad thing to become good thing and protect from enemies, evil to induce good luck and fortune.

History of Phra Rahoo:
Phra Rahuis the famous auspicious amulet of Wat Srisathong. Phra Rahuis a mythological monster who is supposed to cause eclipses by taking the moon or the sun in his mouth. He is a kind of giant in Thai myth. The legend is that Pra-Rahuwas an immortal giant because he drank some holy nectar. The temple created Phra Rahuamulet not only – taking the moon in his mouth – but also taking the sun in his mouth.

The legend of creation of Phra Rahuis that Phra Rahuwas created by the two hermits. One of them was penance in the cave on Nantakhate Mountain. Both of them created magical drawing and magic words in order to sanctify Phra Rahuamulet. One hermit created magical drawing and magic words of Suriyabuppa (eclipse of the sun period) to sanctify Phra Rahuwhich taking the sun in his mouth. The other hermit created magical drawing and magic words of Chandrabuppa (eclipse of the moon in his mouth. The two hermits made those things because they had foresight to know that humans will face with danger and grieves in the future. The auspicious amulet, Phra Rahoo, could help people free from ones.
To sanctify Phra Rahuamulet, it must be made 8 periods for being holy and effective.
The History of Wat LadRaHong :
Regarding to Wat Lard Ra Hong story, LP Parn of Wat BangNomKho whet or “Tudong” pass Tambon WatYom, Amphoe BangPaIn, Ayutthya Province. People who stay in this area requested LP Parn to live and teach them about Buddhism way. At the same time, Mr. Tet, Mrs. Meuan and Mrs. ThomYa who had studied dharma practices, had given the land (30 Rai) to LP Parn for building the temple. In 1921, LP Parn and local people built the temple on this land, first call “Wat SaWan gAhRom”. Many years later, this temple was very old and damaged. Government and people renovate this temple and government renamed it to be “Wat Lard Ra Hong”.
