Phra Rahuis a mythological monster who is supposed to cause eclipses by taking the moon or the sun in his mouth. He is a kind of giant in Thai myth. The legend is that Pra-Rahuwas an immortal giant because he drank some holy nectar. The temple created Phra Rahuamulet not only – taking the moon in his mouth – but also taking the sun in his mouth.
The legend of creation of Phra Rahuis that Phra Rahuwas created by the two hermits. One of them was penance in the cave on Nantakhate Mountain. Both of them created magical drawing and magic words in order to sanctify Phra Rahuamulet. One hermit created magical drawing and magic words of Suriyabuppa (eclipse of the sun period) to sanctify Phra Rahuwhich taking the sun in his mouth. The other hermit created magical drawing and magic words of Chandrabuppa (eclipse of the moon in his mouth. The two hermits made those things because they had foresight to know that humans will face with danger and grieves in the future. The auspicious amulet, Phra Rahoo, could help people free from ones.
To sanctify Phra Rahuamulet, it must be made 8 periods for being holy and effective.
Krapa Kritsana of Wat Pa Mahawan, Nakhon Ratchasima Province was born in 1st August 1954. He was ordained as monk in 27th October 1979. He has been becomes a monk under Phra KruBa Pu who has been very well-known in North of Thailand and he followed Phra KruBa Pu on Tudong to Cambodia and Laos. Krapa Kritsana spent 10 year studying Buddhist holy texts and practiced meditation in the forests located in NE Thailand. Krapa Kritsana is one of the best-known in present day who is a guru master of unique amulet style.

Power amulet! Facilities were built along with a pond of water. Krapa Kritsana used the earth from excavated pond to make this amulet as a sacred object of worship blessed by Krapa himself. In 2532, Krapa dwelt in a cave above the Moonbon Dam in Khonburi. After 3 years the local local people became aware of a great monk that was residing in the area and requested that he move back to the forest and construct a new temple, Wat Pa Mahawan.
On the front of this amulet presented Phra RahuOm Jun. On the back have mask of Zodiac Sign with 5 red gemstones and 2 beautiful pink gems. Phra Krapa once said that any gemstones couldn’t be use except those which have been blessed and cleaned of any impure energy.
Krapa Kritsana has been crated and blessed this amulet in 2006.
