“San Jao Tai Sia Hook Jol†is a name of the long-time Chinese shrine in Thailand where has the statue of Heng Jia, the name of Chinese monkey deity. This statue of Heng Jia is from China. It was carried to Thailand by the junk boat and brought to Wat Traimit wittayaram Worawiharn, Bangkok. This is the first statue of Heng Jia in Thailand. It is carved out of the holy wood into the shape of monkey sitting on the lotus, patched with gold leaves. This statue is hundreds of years old, worshipped by a lot of people especially Chinese people in Yaowaraj, a name of China town in Bangkok including the foreigners from Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and some western countries. People come to worship Heng Jia Statue because they want to be lucky and fulfilled in what they wish. They believe Heng Jia Deity will make their wishes come true.
