The history of Phra Mae Phosop: The full name of Phramae Phosob is “Phra Mae Sri Phosop Noppaklao”. In an ancient time she is Goddess in the heaven called “Phosawa thevee” with beautiful body and fragrance, the skin is like gold. She was the first wife of PhraIn who looks after the heaven. When the Buddha day on 8 Kam and 15 Kam, she will collect the flowers to give to PhraIn for Bucha Phra Ratanatrai. One Buddha day, she collects the flowers and gives to Phra In as usual. But in this time, PhraIn notices that her skin is not so bright and asked her. Her reply is that “everything has changed”. PhraIn agrees with her but tell her that because her merit is still in the end. So go to build new merit and do good things for the world. She agrees and goes to as PhraIn said to her. After that she collects the flowers and go to Himmaphan forest that is the resident of Ruesithat is in Chan Sama But and called him “RuesiTa Fai because each year Ruesionly open his one eye once a year. She saw Ruesiin Chan Sama But and then paid a respect to him. Ruesiis out of Chan when he received the fragrance odour, but still closes his eyes. Then she flew to the front of Ruesiand paid a respect once. After opening Ruesieyes, the body of Phra Mae Phosop is disappear. Ruesionly knew that the Goddess came to see Ruesiin an unusual manner, saw only one time, she is disappearing. Ruesiused his sacred stick and she went back again. Suddenly, it became rice at the face of Ruesithat has one rice grain with width 8 inches x 16 inches, the yellow beautiful colour.
At first, Ruesithought that his power is so low, but the truth is that she is still alive. Then change herself as the Goddess and tell for Ruesi ’s help to make a merit as PhraIn suggestion. Ruesiagrees to become rice, but it is so big that cannot make a benefit. So, Ruesirecommend her to go into a rice grain and make a wish to become smaller rice grain as the present of rice grain today.
The way for worship PhraMae PhoSob begins in the Lord Buddha period. Even the King will worship Mae Phosob each year from the King Rama I until today.
The offerings of PhraMae PhoSob are: fruits such as pomelo, orange, coconut, pineapple, banana, mango, bean, sesame, sugar cane. In the costume there are: mirror, comb, fragrance brush and oil.
You notice that there are not desserts or pork or meat, that because at 15 Kam Duen 11 is the pregnant of rice. When it is the out of the Buddhist Lent, there are Sai Bat ceremony (put food into the bowl of the Buddhist priest), they will put orange, banana, but not rice. And then, they use a small bucket put fruits and a little wood and red and white thread, tieing white thread with the rice tree, with a flag and bringing bucket tie at the end of the wood, Bucha for auspicious for us. In case of not using food such as rice or desserts for worshipping is because PhraMae PhoSob will not eat herself, but will dedicate herself for other people’s eating.
The Biography of LP Tim:
LP Tim of Wat PhraKao, Ayutthaya Province was born in March 1913. Now he is 94 year old. LP Tim was first ordained a monk at Wat PiKut by three month. He returned on 10 April 1948 when he was ordained for a second time. LP Sang from Wat Nam Tao was the officiator at his second ordination. He has been an expert of concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism way. He studied Vipassana Meditation with LP Jong of Wat NahTaangNauk, LP Sodh of Wat Paknam who is the master of the Vijja Dhammakave Approach and Arjar Ju who is knows every thing and could forecast the future. He went or Tudong in the deep jungle and cemetery alone to gain knowledge, to build up good/karma and to know the teaching of Buddha. LP Tim is one of the top guru monks of the present era. He is well known and popular for his knowledge in both Dharma and Visha (supernatural arts). LP Tim remained at Wat Piku after his ordination but finally moved in 1949 to Wat Prakhao. At that time, Master Ting Buddhasiri was the abbot. Every day, many people go to meet LP Tim. They need for his help. They believe LP Tim has power securing good fortune in business.
