About LP Pan of Wat Saphan Sung, Bangkok
Luang Pu Pan Supanno is one of the 4 disciples of Somdej Phra Buddhachan (Toh) Wat Rakhang. He inherited all five magic powders.
Most people understand that Luang Pu Pan resided at Wat Saphan Sung, Bang Sue District. But in fact, LP Pan has never been to Wat Saphan Sung.
LP Pan was the second abbot of Wat Mai Thong Sen, Kiakkai, Bangkok.
From 1887 until 1929, in the past, Wat Mai Thong Sen split into two temples which are Wat Yai Thong Sen and Wat Pa Lelai.
Later, Luang Pu Pan was renovated and consolidated into the same temple and has a new name. Wat Mai Thong Sen Inside the temple, there is a viharn of Luang Por To Pang Pa Lelai which is a large Buddha image Built in the reign of Phra Thamma Udom (Thuek), the first abbot and Phra Thamma Udom (this monk was a pair of monks preaching with Somdej Phra Buddhachan To, and Somdej Phra Buddhachan Toh also joined the construction of the temple and Phra Luang Pho.
LP Pan resided at Wat Saphan Sung may be because Ajarn Chek, a pupil of LP Pan, brought LP Pan's amulets to distribute at Wat Saphan Sung.
