Material:Kala Ta Diaw holy one eye coconut
Feature: This Kala Ta Diaw has holy images carved on itself: Rahu the god of fortune (around) and Hanuman the monkey god of good luck and invulnerability (underneath).
What is Kala Ta Diaw?
Kala Ta Diaw is what Thai people call an uncommon coconut shell with only one hollow on its top part unlike others that have 3 hollows.
Why is it sacred?
Ancient Thai people believed that a coconut shell with one hollow has hidden power in itself. They cut the coconut shell and punched a hole on a piece of it. They inserted rope into the hole and wore as a talisman. They believed this talisman could save them from dangers and fulfill what they pray for. In Sukothai Era, some people who knew magic began to consecrate a piece of mentioned coconut shell. They built up sacredness for the coconut shell. So, name “Kala Ta Diaw” became well-known. In Ayutthaya Era, people believed this kind of amulet could attract good luck and prevent poverty that they cut Kala Ta Diaw into 2 halves and used to scoop rice grains to mean will have abundance of consumption.
How to Use: Place on table or altar below Buddha image (can put together with gods level). Chant Katha and offer a cup of water every day. Can make a wish after chanting Katha. If no time, can offer every other day or once a week.
About the Guru Monk:
LP Key Gitiyano (an abbot of Wat Si Lamyong, Surin Province) was born on the 24th May 1928 CE This year 2014 CE, he is 86 years old. LP Key got ordained as a Buddhist monk at age 21 at Wat PetBuRi, Surin Province. LP Key is a good monk who many Buddhists admire and respect. He always has mercy on everyone. He has been an expert in concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism way. LP Key has ever been on a pilgrimage for mysticism together with contemporary monks in the mountain, Thailand for years.
LP Key also understands Khmer magic. He has built many amulet collections in order to make money to develop and restore his temple. With holiness and real results, his amulets are popular among Thai worshipers. Today, LP Key is one of Thailand’s top guru monks.
LP Key passed away on 23 November BE2558(CE2015).
