The Biography of LP Phina Piyatharo:
LP Phina Piyatharo or LP Phina was one of great monks in Thai history who is still in people’s hearts. He was a former abbot of Wat Sanom Lao in Saraburi Province.
He was born on the 1st March BE 2456 (CE 1913) in Uthai Thani Province. He got ordained when he was 20. After ordination, he set his heart on dharma of Buddha and meditation. He began going on a pilgrimage in BE 2486 (CE 1943).
He was a meditation expert. He made people see that meditation is very useful. LP Phina practiced meditation seriously until he had strong mindfulness. He taught his disciples to practice meditation too. His best words “When your mind is still, your wisdom appears” and “Everything succeeds with mind”.
LP Phina passed away on the 13th October BE 2545 (CE 2002) in meditation posture, yes! , he died while he was doing meditation.
Today, people remember him. His amulets are powerful having real effects on the worshippers. There are a few amulets by LP Phina and they are hard to be seen now. People say LP Phina is timeless because his mind power is superb.
