Name: Chae Nam Mon (meaning " being immersed in holy water")

Phra Kring is a famous Buddha amulet in Thailand. Believed to fulfill wishes of prayer, bring wealth, prosperity, progression, safety and peacefulness as well as used to make holy water to cure illness and drive out the inauspicious.
The name “Phra Kring” (Phra = Buddha, Kring = inside metal bead) comes from a metal bead in amulet. The ringing sound is believed to bring good luck.
People believe Phra Kring can cure illness. In the reign of King Rama III, there was the spreading of cholera that killed many Thai people. Somdej Phrawannarat (LP Daeng) abbot of Wat Suthat, Bangkok blessed Phra Kring amulet in the water and gave out water to people. People who drank that water (including LP Daeng) could get over cholera.
LP Phut Thaniyo (Phra Raj Sangworayan) was a former abbot of Wat Pa Salawan, a holy guru monk of Northeastern Thailand and last disciple of LP Sao Kantaseelo.
LP Phut was born on 8 February BE2464 (CE1921) in Saraburi Province. When LP Phut was 4 years old, his mother died, so LP Phut and his father moved to Sakon Nakhon Province.
LP Phut got ordained as Buddhist novice at age 15 at Wat Insuwan in Sakon Nakhon Province. After ordination, LP Phut studied meditation and mantra with LP Sao Kantaseelo.
In BE2483 (CE1940), LP Sao brought LP Phut to be disciple of LP Noo Thitapanyo at Wat Pathumwanaram, Bangkok. LP Phut continued residing at Wat Pathumwanaram and until the age of 21 he ordained as monk at this temple.
During Pacific War, LP Phut moved to reside at Wat Burapha, Ubon Ratchathani Province. LP Phut resided at this temple until BE2489 (CE1946).
During that time, LP Phut was sick and he met LP Fan Arjaro. LP Fan helped LP Phut by teaching how to contemplate 32 symptoms and gave mental support until LP Phut got well.
LP Phut became an abbot at Wat Pa Salawan in BE2513 (CE1970) and did many favors to the temple such as developing Wat Pa Salawan, teaching dharma, building the school, buying medical equipment, supporting monk hospital and so on.
LP Phut passed away on 15 May BE2542 at age 78.
