Name: 14-Handed Standing Ganesha Statue
From: LP Key, Wat SeeLum Yong, Surin Province
Origin: Thailand
Batch: “Maha Setthi Muen Lan” (meaning: Ten Thousand Million Millionaire)
Year: B.E.2554 (C.E.2011)
Size: 8.5 cm x 11.5 cm
Material: blackened bronze
Present: Bottom of statue is embedded with a holy lead Takrut and holy thread from LP Key to increase the power.
Purpose of Making: to earn donations for developing and restoring Wat SeeLum Yong.
Ceremony: LP Key properly blessed this batch on 8 January 2011 in the Uposatha hall of Wat SeeLum Yong.
Power: Ganesha (Thai: Phra Phikanet) is best-known Hindu deity in the world. He is a son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Uma. His image is found throughout the world. In Thailand, Ganesha has been known well and worshipped for a long time. Ganesha is believed to know everything and have best wit. Ganesha is the deity of wisdom, success and wealth. Thais believe worshiping Ganesha will make the worshiper successful in studying and working especially in arts and performances as well as make the wishes of the worshiper come true. In addition, Ganesha worship is believed to remove problems, obstacles and difficulties from life.
Biography of LP Key:
LP Key (Luang Pu Key Gitiyano) of Wat SeeLum Yong, Surin Province was born on the 24 May B.E.2471 (C.E.1928). LP Key got ordained as a monk at age 21 at Wat Petchburi, Surin Province. LP Key is a good monk who many Buddhists admire and respect. He always has mercy on every disciple. He has been an expert in concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism way. LP Key went a pilgrimage (Tudong) in the mountain in Thailand with many skilled guru monks in his days for many years. Moreover, he understands Khmer magic. He makes a lot of amulets. His amulets are powerful and popular. Today, LP Key is one of top guru monks of Thailand.
LP Key calmly passed away at age 88 on 23 November B.E.2558 (C.E.2015).
