Holy Material: This Takrut is made of real silver filled with 108-kind plant powder, hairs of KB Noy and Phra That (relics) and covered with “Krang” black resinous substance from an insect believed to bounce back bad powers.
KB Noy blessed this Takrut by himself on the holy ceremony.
Power: “Ga Saton” is name of Northern Yant (cabalistic) popularly worshiped by people in Northern Thailand. “ga” is a Northern dialect that means “to prevent” and “saton” means “to reflect”. So, Yant Ga Saton is believed to prevent and reflect or send back bad powers that are black magic, ghosts, inauspicious things and so on. The guru monk usually inscribes Yant Ga Saton on a metal sheet and rolls it into Takrut. We call this “Takrut Ga Saton”.
One thing that makes Takrut Ga Saton different from other protective Takrut is black mass covering Takrut surface called “Krang”. Krang is resinous dark substance secreted by a kind of insect as a protective covering used to make varnish, shellac, sealing wax, dyes, etc. It is an idea of old Thai people that when bad person sends black magic to, covering dark mass will absorb black magic and it will break into pieces. Then person takes these pieces to burn and black magic will be burnt too.
About Guru Monk:
KB Noy (Krapa Noy) is a well-known guru monk in Northern Thailand. He is an abbot of Wat Sri Don Moon in Chiang Mai Province.
KB Noy was born on 12 February 1951 CE in Chiang Mai Province. At age 7, he stayed with KB Pud, a monk at Wat Sri Don Moon in Chiang Mai. There he first started to study knowledge of Dhamma and Vipassana Meditation. Until age 13, KB became a Buddhist novice. He learnt dharma and mantras from KB Pud. After that, KB Noy traveled to study more dharma and mantras. KB Noy met KBPhromma of Wat PhraPutTaBanhTakPhar, Lamphun Province who was good at meditation. So, he learnt dharma and mantras from KBPhromma. Until age 20, KB Noy was ordained as a monk and came back to KB Pud and helped KB Pud develop the temple and the public. Additionally, KB Noy went on monk's journey called Tudong to the woods to Thailand and Myanmar border. Tudong is a monk journey for mysticism.
Today, KB Noy is highly respected for his strong mind power and mantra. His practice is called Kammathan Vipassana, an intensive meditation without eating, drinking and speaking for 9 days. This practice takes place once a year.
