Initial idea of worshiping hermit happened a long time ago and it is tied Thai belief. About the Guru Monk:
LP Somchai (passed away on 2 Sep. 2016) was a former abbot of Wat Khongkha in Kanchanaburi Province. He was one of top guru monks of Thailand. Whenever he made amulets, a lot of worshippers always paid attention and tried to possess. People do believe in LP Somchai power because the amulets by LP Somchai have real effects on them. LP Somchai amulets are famous for wealth, good luck and protection. LP Somchai was a good monk with gratitude to the King, nation and Buddhism.
