Name: Phra Kring Pairee Pinard – Somdej Yan 100 Pi

Year: 2559 BE (2016 CE)

Description: This style of Buddha is called Phra Pairee Pinard that means “enemies get lost”. Around 1848, someone offered King Rama IV a Buddha sculpture. While the king got ordained as a monk, that Buddha could protect the king from assassins. And also holiness of Buddha, soon people who tried to kill the king died somehow. So the king named Buddha “Phra Pairee Pinard” to mean Buddha could make enemies gone.

Purpose: proceeds for building the temple and the school in Cha-am district, Phetchaburi Province.

Ceremony: This batch was blessed 2 times. The first ceremony took place on 21 September 2013 in the chapel of Wat Bowon, Bangkok. The second ceremony was on 11 August 2016 at Wat Rama IX Kanchanapisek, Bangkok, an abbot assistant of Wat Rama IX Kanchanapisek as the president of the ceremony and LP Mahasurasak from Wat Pradu, Samut Songkhram Province exclusively blessed.

About Temple:
Wat Rama IX Kanchanapisek was built under an idea of King Bhumibol (Rama 9) in 1995 on the occasion of his 72nd birthday. Located in Huai Khwang district, Bangkok. Specially got promoted to the third class temple in 1999. This temple is nice and full of tree shadows that make people cool and relaxed. As for Phra Ubosot or chapel, it is combined with traditional architecture and modern architecture, the uniqueness of this temple.
