Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

LP Chaloem, a Famous Guru Monk in Ayutthaya:

This is Luang Por Chaloem, a present abbot of Wat Prayatikaram in Ayutthaya Province. He is a descendant magic of LP Klan, a past abbot of Wat Prayatikaram who was the legend.
LP Chaloem is modest, humble and solitary. He is one of top guru monks in Thailand. Studied magic and mantras with LP An, a former abbot after LP Klan. LP Klan handed down his magic to LP An and LP An handed down his magic to LP Chaloem.
Magic of LP Klan is superb in protection and invulnerability. It can be said that LP Chaloem is an expert in Visha Chatree (magic of invulnerability) and Yant Jakapattrathirat (great ancient magic of protection, wealth and charm).
Every time when LP Chaloem blesses amulets, he invites spirits of LP Klan and his teachers to join in blessing. So his amulets are powerful.

History of Prayatikaram Temple:

Prayatikaram Temple had its former name ‘Phobyat Temple’. The name ‘Phobyat Temple’ comes from a legend that in the past there was a village where full of beautiful girls. There were told from people to people. One day the king heard that, so he went to the village. He saw a girl and he adopted her from her parents. When the girl grew up, she became the queen. She went back to the village again to visit her relatives. Then she built the temple there and named it ‘Phobyat Temple’. After that, the name of the temple was changed from ‘Phobyat Temple’ to ‘Prayatikaram Temple’.

About Pha Yant (Magic Cloth):

“Pha Yant” or magic cloth is a longtime sacred object in Thai belief. “Pha” means cloth. “Yant” means holy characters or designs. So “Pha Yant” means a piece of cloth which has holy characters or designs.
In the past, a monk made Pha Yant for people to help them safe from war like you see outfit of ancient Thai warriors or in Muay Thai as Prajead (armbands) and Mongkol (headband).
In fact, there are many kinds of Pha Yant sorted by purpose of the maker such as for charm, protection, luck or business.
To make cloth holy, a guru monk or master will write Yant (holy characters) on the cloth and then bless it with Katha (magic spell) about the certain power they want.
You can carry the magic cloth in a pocket, bag or wallet.
