Name: Por Gae Maha Setthi Medal

Material:painted brass with a blue background

About Por Gae:
The grand hermit spirit is well-known as “Por Gae”. People worship Por Gae with belief of auspiciousness, protection and prosperity. Some groups of people hold a ceremony called “Krob Kru” where has Por Gae image and person who performs a ceremony wears Por Gae image on heads of people in the ceremony one by one to show that person becomes a disciple of Por Gae already. When people are disciples, they must not commit immorality.

Origin: Thailand

Consecration: This amulet was already blessed in holy Phuttha Phisek ceremony on Saturday 30 January 2016 at Wat Nak Glang Worawiharn, Bangkok. Somdet Phra Maharatchamangkalajarn (acting patriarch) exclusively came as the president of the ceremony lighting the main candle to open the ceremony and Somdet Phra Phutthajarn Wat Traimit , Bangkok put out the main candle to close the ceremony.

Purpose: to earn money for building dharma pavilion “Sala Buraphajariyanusorn” at Wat Nak Glang Worawiharn, Bangkok

History of Temple:
Wat Nak Glang Worawiharn is an important and ancient temple located in Bangkok assumed built in late Ayutthaya period. There many interesting things in this temple for example:
1. The main Buddha statue in the chapel named “Luang Por Praputtaprasit” which is beautiful and good to pay respect to
2. The Buddha statue named “Luang Por ConsamorMahalarp” which is in Chinese & Tibetan style
3. The pavilion named “Sala SutammaPaowana” where King Taksin once stayed
