Appearance: The front has Ruesi(hermit) on Garuda (bird god). The back has Sian Ruesi(grand hermit’s head image). The front and the back have Yant (sacred characters).
**Power: People worship the image of Garuda because they believe Garuda is great and powerful that can make them have ascendancy; influence, lucky and prosperous. People also believe that Garuda can protect them from bad things and dangers.
Garuda (the bird god) is an emblem of Thailand. It appears at many Buddhist temples. Garuda represents greatness and influence. Thai people believe worshipping Garuda will bring them ascendancy and charisma.

About the Guru Monk:
LP Nong was born in BE 2459 (CE1916) in Lop Buri Province. LP got ordained as a novice at the age of 12. He learnt dharma and magic from his uncle, LP Derm who was a former abbot of Wat NongPho, Nakhon Sawan Province and a famous guru monk in the past. LP Nong has knowledge of magic, sacred tattooing. He is good at making efficacious amulets following LP Derm’s way. Age 21, LP Nong was a soldier for 2 years. After that, he was ordained as a monk at age 23 at Wat OhPahSee, Bangkok. Then he came back to Wat NongPho, Nakhon Sawan Province to look after LP Derm until LP Derm passed away in CE 1939. Later, people in Sakaeo Province requested him to be an abbot at Wat WangSiThong. He accepted the request and has become an abbot until now. Today, LP Nong is one of famous guru monks in Thailand. He is a worshipful monk. A lot of people love and respect him.
