Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

LP Nark and History of Phra Pidta:
LP Nark is the guru monk in Thai history. LP Nark is famous for Phra Pidta Phim Hu Kratai amulet which is excellent in protection, being vulnerable and charm.
LP Nark is the first guru monk who built Phra Pidta Phim Hu Kratai amulet from mixed ore called “Mekkapat”. “Hu Kratai”, name of appearance of Phra Pidta by LP Nark looks like rabbit’s ears. In 2432 BE (1889 CE), LP Nark made the first Phra Pidta Phim Hu Kratai amulet from mixed ore “Mekkapat” mixed with sulfur to be shiny black. LP Nark made Phra Pidta by himself in his temple.
One interesting thing is that he inscribed Yant (holy characters) on every Phra Pidta amulet. What makes Phra Pidta by LP Nark so different from others is that LP Nark blessed the amulet underwater. Nowadays, Phra Pidta amulet by LP Nark is very rare and expensive.
LP Nark was born in 2358 BE (1815 CE), the reign of King Rama the Second. When he was 21, he got ordained as a Buddhist monk at Wat Phra Pathom Chedi, Nakhon Pathom Province and stayed there. In 2432 BE (1889 CE) he was appointed by King Rama the Fifth as a commission monk. In 2441 BE (1898 CE), LP Nark built a temple in Narkhon Pathom. The temple was finished in 2443 BE (1900 CE). At first, temple was named “Wat Narkchotigaram” and changed to “Wat Huay Chorakhe” later. LP Nark was the first abbot of Wat Huay Chorakhe”.
LP Nark was expert at Thai language, Khmer language and Pali language. He was a good monk. LP Nark passed away in 2452 BE (1909 CE) at the age of 94.
