**Phaya Tao Ruen, a tortoise amulet has played in Thai belief for a long time. In many cultures for example China, a tortoise is believed as a holy animal because it stays under a hard shell, can dive and lives long. Tortoise also relates to Buddha’s story that he was once born as a tortoise. In Thailand, you can see tortoise amulets or sculptures placed in houses and establishments especially a shop mostly wished for good luck and successful business. In fact, people think that tortoise amulet makes its worshipper lucky, wealthy and has long life.

**Ceremony: A current abbot of Wat RaiTangThong invited LP Phaeo and LP Chub who are famous senior guru monks to bless this collection. The holy blessing ceremony took place on 17 May 2014 at Wat RaiTangThong, Nakhon Pathom Province. Specially, a current abbot of Wat RaiTangThong joined in blessing as well.
ABOUT THE GURU MONK:
LP Liew was a famous past guru monk in Thai history. The signature of his amulets is tortoise. Some are tortoise-shaped medals and some are LP Liew on tortoise sculptures. Worshippers say that LP Liew is a worshipful monk and his amulets are holy in wealth and protection. LP Liew PanNaGo was born in CE1905 at Ratchaburi Province, Thailand. When he was young, he escaped from his house to study a magical knowledge with Karen Arjan. He got ordained at the age of 27. He studied Pa Ya Tow knowledge from LP Yon at Wat Baan Kong Yai, Ratchaburi Province. Afterwards, he was very successful in magic. In CE 1973, he let his first tortoise amulet named Pa Ya Tow. In fact, Pa Ya Tow helps worshippers from danger and brings worshippers good luck and wealth. LP Liew was expert at concentration of mindfulness in Buddhist way. LP Liew passed away on 4 September CE 2000.
