A Monk Who Truly Dedicates Himself to Buddhism
When talking about good monks, the one whom you should get to know is LP Eiang of Wat Nong Soi Thong in Nakhon Sawan Province. As people have told, LP Eiang is modest, simple and strict with monk’s rules. People ever asked LP Eiang why he did not build a room for himself and LP Eiang answered he did not want to use donation money from people for himself. That is why LP Eiang always uses all donation money on temple’s affairs: development and restoration.
LP Eiang was born on 9 February BE 2478 (CE 1935) in Nakhon Sawan Province. Now CE 2014, he is 79 years old. At age 20, LP Eiang got ordained as a Buddhist monk for the first time and then he resigned and had his own family. Until BE 2529 (CE1986), he decided to get ordained again to stay monkhood until the rest of life. After ordination, he learnt dharma and Mantra from LP Bua Phuean at Wat Lang Khao, Nakhon Sawan Province. LP Bua Phuean taught LP Eiang consecration. Soon, LP Eiang could consecrate talismans by himself and he did such a good job that LP Bua Phuean trusted.
In BE 2534 (CE 1991), LP Eiang was assigned by LP Bua Phuean to be an abbot at Wat Nong Soi Thong in the same Province. At that time, Wat Nong Soi Thong was so weathered and poor. When LP Eiang arrived at Wat Nong Soi Thong, he held strong intention of developing there. At first, there was only LP Eiang in the temple. With his magic competence and powerful mind power that can contact Pu Ruesi(grand hermit) spirit, he made very sacred amulets to make money to restore his temple. Soon, the temple became better.
LP Eiang is kind to everyone. He is an unambitious monk who does not care for any money and stuff, so he gets faith from people. In fact, LP Eiang sets his heart on blessing his amulets every time. Therefore, his amulets are really holy. Lots of worshippers have wonderful experiences with amulets for example magical knife owners got over from threat by black magic and medal owners were safe from accident and danger.
