Luang Pu Thuad, born BE 2125 (CE 1582), died BE 2225 (CE 1682) is a revered Buddhist monk who lived in Siam. He is said to have performed miracles.
Luang Pu Thuad is mentioned in the early regional histories of southern Thailand, but his life is mainly preserved in oral. His movements throughout the Southern peninsula constitute a path of pilgrimage for many of his followers.
Many people in Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia believe that amulets created in Luang Pu Thuat's image hold great protective powers granting safety in times of distress, especially saving the lives of believers from seemingly fatal automobile accidents. Phra Ajarn Tim Dharmataro, abbot of Wat Chang Hai is the pioneer creator of Phra Luang Por Thuad amulets. Old sacred amulets of Pu Thuat are considered priceless and very powerful.
The Biography of LP Nueang Ariyo:
LP Nueang Ariyo or LP Nueang was a timeless monk. He was born in Yala Province, not found the year of birth. When he was 20, he got ordained at Wat Kongkanimit, Yala Province. He was a real developer. He established many temples in his hometown for people to go and make merit. He was a good monk, so people admired and supported him to build the temples. LP Nueang was silent. He did more than said. He spent most time on meditation to have perfect mindfulness. In addition, he had got a black tongue. Many times that what he said came true. People had more faith in him. In fact, he was an abbot of Wat Kongkanimit. Due to his sacrifice, he went to develop other temples. He passed away in BE 2496 (CE 1953). There is the statue of LP Nueang at Wat Kongkanimit and Wat Kork Chang in Yala Province. Today, many people go to pay respect to LP Nueang statue every day.
