About Buang Nark Baht (Naga hoop):
In the legend, Buang Nark Baht is an arrow of Naga. When the arrow got the enemy, it became a snake around the enemy. Buang Nark Baht also appears in the story of Buddha. While Buddha was doing meditation before he was enlightened, many devils tried to disturb Buddha to make him abort meditation. So, Naga protected Buddha by going around Buddha—this is like a big hoop around Buddha.
In Thai northern belief, Buang Nark Baht or a Naha hoop is a powerful amulet.
