Name: Bodhisattva Guan Yin amulet with Temple Box

From: Wat Pra Doo Chim Plee, Bangkok

Origin: Thailand

Size: 1.2 cm x 3.2 cm

Material:Amulet is made of copper. There is holy mass filled under the amulet for sacredness.

Ceremony: holy blessing by present abbot “Phra Kru Winaitorn Ploen” and monks by following magical method of “Luang Pu Toh” former abbot in Uposatha hall of Wat Pra Doo Chim Plee on 1 March 2018.

There is an oral story of past abbot “Luang Pu Toh” that he respected Guan Yin goddess very much. LP could contact Guan Yin when doing meditation and LP was a vetgetarian to dedicate merit to Guan Yin as well.

Purpose: to earn donations to develop and restore old buildings in Wat Pra Doo Chim Plee.

Power: Guan Yin is a Chinese goddess who is powerful and has great mercy on every human and creatures. To worship Guan Yin will bring the worshiper’s life good things, happiness, peacefulness, success and fulfillment.

Temple’s For Your Information: Wat Pra Doo Chim Plee is an ancient civilian Thai Buddhist temple in Wat Tha Phra Subdistrict, Bangkok Yai District, Bangkok's Thonburi side. The temple is situated rim Khlong Chak Phra, where is confluence of three khlongs (canals) Chak Phra, Phasi Charoen, and Bangkok Yai.
The temple dates back to the reign of King Nangklao (Rama III) during early Rattanakosin period. It has the original name called "Wat Chim Plee", derives from the many cotton trees (Bombax ceiba) that were found throughout this area (chim plee is cotton tree in Thai). But popular people called "Wat Pradu Nai" in pair with nearby temple, Wat Pranu Nok or Wat Pradu Nai Songtham in present day.
Wat Pradu Chimphli is famous for Luang Pu Toh was the abbot during 1910s–1980s. He developed the temple in many ways and was a dedicated and merciful monk and highly respected by the local devotees including King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX). He was also famous for being the creator of Buddha amulets that called "Phra Pid Ta" ("Closed Eyes Buddha"). It is claimed to gives its owner great luck and protection and there is a saying that whoever owns a Luang Pu Toh amulet will be free from poverty.
