Name: Phra Kroo Wat Ratchanandda

From: This old Buddha amulet got from Groo Wat Ratchanaddaram, In 2004 an abbot has been repair the Pagoda. They found this Buddha amulet under the Pagoda.

“Groo” in Thai means place to keep of old Buddha amulets for decades which always under the Pagoda.


Material: Holy powder mixed with terra-cotta

Origin: Thailand

Year: King Nangklao (Rama III) period (BE1848-1849)

Purpose: The Buddhaamulet made as a reminder of the life and works of Lord Buddha and keeps in keep under the Pagoda.
Ceremony: This Buddha amulet blessed by the most respected guru monks in King Rama III period.
Power: People believe that Buddha image has power in protecting the owner from black magic, evil and any bad things.

Feature:
“Pim Manvichai” is sitting in Samati, the left hand is on the leg, the fingers point into the floor. It is popular for building this Pang for the president of Phra because it symbolized of nirvana.
The legend: There are the head of evil called Wasawadee with his elephant named Chang Kirimek brought the battle for devastation the Lord Buddha. Phra Thoranee help the Lord Buddha until the evil is defeated. The final words are the Lord Buddha has win from the bad things indeed.

“Pim Oumbat” is the standing amulet that his two hands are on the waist with bat.
The legend: When the rain is fallen, the crowd has to go to his home. And at the morning, the Lord Buddha goes to have a bat (Sai-bat) and this is the first time with 20000 abbots to go with the Lord and this is the first time for the Kabinlapat people to see the beautiful Lord Buddha with his bat.
Wat Ratchanaddaram, Bankok was built to the order of King Nangklao (Rama III) for Mom Chao Ying Sommanus Wattanavadi in 1846. The temple is best known for the Loha Prasat, a one of a kind in structure Thailand. The pagoda is a replica of the Loha Prasat built in India. It is 36 m high and has 37 metal spires, signifying the 37 virtues toward enlightenment
