The History of Wat Nang Kui: Let us pay respect to the sacred Buddha images and visit those ancient buildings created in the Krung Sri Ayutthaya period, over 400 years ago. Wat Nang Kui is located on the outer part of the west part of the Chao Phraya River. Nang Gui, the creator, a wealthy woman, built this temple on the bank of Chao Phraya river in 1587. From then on, it was ruined by neglect. Until the reign of King Rama 3 of Rattanakosin period, it was renovated.
