Somdaj Phra YanNaSungWorn is the present 19th Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, in position since 1989 in the reign of King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Also, He is an abbot of Wat Boworn, Bangkok. He was born on the 3rd October C.E. 1913 in Kanchanaburi Province. He has been an expert of concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism. He is familiar with the King. He is well-behaved whom

Wat Boworn or full name “Wat Bowornniwet Vihara Rajaworavihara” is a major temple in Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is a center of the Thammayut Nikaya school of Thai Theravada Buddhism and has been a major temple of patronage of Chakri dynasty.
Wat Boworn is located near the Wan Chart Bridge and Banglamphoo Market. Prince Mahasakdipolsep, vice-king of the Third Reign, ordered the construction of this temple along with Wat Rangsisuthawas and it was built between C.E. 1824 to1832.
Wat Boworn is the residence of members of the royal family who enter the monkhood. It has been the residence of many the supreme patriarchs of the Buddhist Church in Thailand, and it is the site of Mahamakut Rajavittayalai, Thailand's first Buddhist institution of the high education.
