3354 Read 2 Things to Realize When Buying Ready-made Casing
When deciding to buy ready-made casing for your amulet, there are 2 important things you should realize:
1. Shape
Not all amulets have their right-shaped casings. Most of Thai amulets are handmade, so they have various shapes. General ready-made casings are made to standard shapes of amulets especially which are famous such as Phra Somdej, Phra Khun Paen and Phra PidTa.
2. Size
Each kind of amulet has a different size for example Phra Somdej has big size, medium size and small size, while ready-made casings may not have every size. So, the casing may be bigger than the amulet such as 1-2 mm or 3-5 mm.
For oversized casing, you need to use a foam sheet to fasten the amulet. Layer of foam sheet depends on exceeding space between amulet and casing. One amulet may need single or double foam sheets to fit.
