About Somdej Toh:
Somdej Toh Phromrangsi or frequently called Somdej Toh is a timeless monk of Thailand and the first monk who created Phra Somdej. He was a former abbot of Wat Rakhang, Bangkok. He was born in the reign of King Rama I (early Rattanagosin period) on Thursday the 17th April BE 2331 (CE 1788). He got ordained as a novice in BE 2343 (CE 1800). He got ordained as a monk in BE 2350 (CE 1807). In BE 2407 (CE 1864), he was given a rank as “Somdej Toh” ( Somdej is a word for
a high-ranking monk). Somdej Toh passed away on Saturday the 22nd June BE 2415 (CE 1872) at age 85.

This batch was named 144 Pi Maha Larp in order to celebrate 144th anniversary of the main Buddha statue in the chapel (1872-2016 CE).
This amulet was blessed in holy ceremony (Phuttha Phisek) on 14 January 2016 at 4.39 p.m. at Wat Rakhang, Bangkok performed by famous guru monks such as:
- Jow Khun Thiang, abbot of Wat Rakhang, Bangkok
- LP Poon, Wat Ban Pan, Ayutthaya Province
- LP Chamnarn, Wat BangGooDiThong, Pathumthani Province

About Temple:
Wat Rakhang Kositaram or frequently called Wat Rakhang is the important old temple in Bangkok. It is situated on Thonburi side, opposite Tha Chang Wang Luang Pier. Wat Rakhang was built during the Ayutthaya period. This temple is famous for Somdej Toh, the great timeless monk of Thailand who was an original Phra Somdej creator and a former abbot here.
