Origin: Thailand
Purpose: Kruba Noy created this amulet to make money to develop and restore his temple Wat Sri Don Moon.
About the Guru Monk:
KB Noy (KB stands for Kruba , the word spoken by Northern Thai people to call a monk like Luang Pu or Luang Por ) is a well-known guru monk in Northern Thailand. He is an abbot of Wat Sri Don Moon in Chiang Mai Province. KB Noy was born on 12 February 1951 CE in Chiang Mai Province. At age 7, he stayed with KB Pud, a monk at Wat Sri Don Moon in Chiang Mai. There he first started to study knowledge of Dhamma and Vipassana Meditation. Until age 13, KB became a Buddhist novice. He learnt dharma and mantras from KB Pud.
After that, KB Noy traveled to study more dharma and mantras. KB Noy met KBPhromma of Wat PhraPutTaBanhTakPhar, Lamphun Province who was good at meditation. So, he learnt dharma and mantras from KBPhromma. Until age 20, KB Noy was ordained as a monk and came back to KB Pud and helped KB Pud develop the temple and the public. Additionally, KB Noy set off on Tudong (a monk journey for mysticism) to border of Thailand and Myanmar.
Today, KB Noy is highly respected in the North and admired for his meditation, precepts (Pali: Sila) and magical knowledge. One important thing KB Noy always does once a year is practicing an intensive meditation without eating, drinking and speaking for 9 days.
