Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

1. Luang Por Toh (holy Buddha image)

**Holiness of Buddha Luang Por Toh:
Luang Por Toh is the beautiful holy Buddha statue of Wat Sakhla, Samut Prakan Province. Samut Prakan Buddhists highly esteem Luang Por Toh.
Back to January 6, 1983 CE, at 9 p.m., there was big fire in the village near Wat Sakhla. People helped one another to put out the fire, but the fire did not go down. Wonderfully, some people who went for fish and crabs saw Luang Por Toh waving his robe to put out the fire and chanting until the fire was gradually gone. Next morning, people came to see the Buddha and it was so amazing that body of Luang Por Toh was dirty with soot and part of his robe was burnt, also his face had tears.
From this story, on 6 January every year, people together make merit for Luang Por Toh.
