Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

Phra Pirap is the highest teacher of classical dance whom all Thai classical dancers respect. Idea of worshiping Phra Pirap comes from India and Nepal that worship Phra Phairawa. Phairawa and Phirap in Thai are the same one. In Hinduism, Phra Phairawa (Phirap) is an avatar of Shiva in the form of a powerful giant whose power can subdue ghosts and devils. In the past, there was great illness that spread out and killed many people. Then people prayed to Phra Phairawa for help and very soon that illness stopped and people became healthy.

In Thailand, Phra Phairawa is known as Phra Pirap . Not only the highest teacher of classical dance, Phra Pirap is believed to bring good luck, success, wealth and charm to a worshiper. That is why many Thai people who want to be prosperous and successful in career regularly worship Phra Pirap . Moreover, Phra Pirap will keep a worshiper away from bad luck, illness and danger amazingly.

About Guru Monk:
LP Chatchawan is an abbot of Wat Ban Poon in PhraNakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He was born in BE 2483 (1940) in Saraburi Province. He used to be a boxer. Later, he felt bored with life as a layman he wanted to find out the real matter of life. At age 31, he quit boxing and got ordained as a monk

With interest in magic, after ordination, LP Chatchawan learnt magic from many guru monks. Then he went on a pilgrimage and found an old temple. He developed an old temple and named it 'Wat Ban Poon'.

At first, there was only LP Chatchawan in the temple. He did not fear any danger, ghost and bad people. Once, while LP Chatchawan was doing meditation, a bad man shot him for challenging, but wonderfully, a gun did not work. LP Chatchawan was safe. A bad man ran away. From that event, although LP Chatchawan knew the sniper, he was not enraged and did not want to revenge. Soon, that sniper died because of karma. That shows LP Chatchawan is so merciful. Today, many people go to Wat Ban Poon to make merit and visit LP Chatchawan, a good monk.
