Origin: Thailand
Year: 2560 BE (2017 CE)
Size: 1.5 x 5 cm

Material:Krapa Wasin created this amulet from the mystical wood named “Mai Khoei Tai Mae Yai Pok” referring to method of LP Thongma combining with method of LP Kliang installed with powerful mantras covering protection, wealth and charm.
“Mai Khoei Tai Mae Yai Pok” came from the story that mother-in-law and son-in-law went to the wood together to find mushroom, but unfortunately the son-in-law was bitten by snake and died. Mother-in-law asked people to help. With worry that the corpse would be eaten by animals, the mother-in-law covered the corpse with a tree. When people came, they found the dead son-in-law alive, so people named the tree that covered the son-in-law “Mai Khoei Tai Mae Yai Pok”.
So today, people believe this wood holds magical powers: charm, financial luck and protection against dangers especially the fierce and dangerous animals.
Belief about Palad Khik:
Shiva Lueng is a symbol of generative power, also known as Palad Khik in Thailand. Thai people believe man genital-shaped amulet means creator and it brings good luck and prosperity. Shiva Lueng (Lueng means Penis) represents Lord Shiva (Hindu God). Normally, Palad Khik is worn on a waist especially of a man, considered as magical charm for a wearer and it helps attract customers for business. That is why many Thai sellers have Palad Khik. However, for female owners, wearing Palad Khik sounds funny, so carrying along is recommended.
