About Guru Monk:
This is Luang Por Chob or southern people call “Phothan Chob”. At present, he is an abbot of Wat JampaWanaram in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. LP Chob was born on 14 August 1928 in Nakhon Si Thammarat. Age 22, got married and had 3 children. Age 27, got ordained as a monk with strong intention to reach the calmness of life in way of Buddha. However, with duty, he became a monk for one year and then resigned. Until age 72, he felt bored with layman life that is full of passions; love, greed, anger and foolishness, so decided to go into monkhood again (20 June 2000) and is going to stay until death. As for magical knowledge, basically, LP Chob has been fond of Yant and Mantras since he was young by learning from his father. When he was 27, he met a skilful master named “Ajarn Rangsan” and studied with him. AJ Rangsan is not common because he is a grandson-in-law of KhunPhanThaRakRatChaDet, a legendary robber buster of Thailand, and moreover keeps on superb Khmer magic from Cambodian master. Today, LP Chob is respected by many people. That is because he has mercy on everyone and always helps people in need no matter they are rich or poor. Also, he likes to imply dharma in a conversation that if we think along, we will get good perspectives.
