Experience of Look Trut (holy woven ball):
“Look Trut” or sometimes called “Takraw San” is an old amulet. It is rare now because the maker must have strong meditation power (mind stream) when repeating a magic spell. Look Trut by LP Suer Lek is well-known among police and soldiers in Trang Province. It has an exciting experience that a man was point-blank by a criminal, but a bullet could not come out!!
LP Nuan or Phothan Nuan was a good monk whom people in Nakhon Si Thammarat highly respect. He established Luang Por Nuan Parisuttho Fund for Buddhist affairs, and moreover infrastructure in Wat Sai Ra (temple). LP Nuan passed away at the age of 89 (69 years in monkhood) in 2012 and his body was taken to Wat Sai Ra his hometown.
About Kathina and Pha Pa:
“Kathina” is a Buddhist festival which comes at the end of Vassa, the three-month rainy season retreat for Theravada Buddhists. The season during which a monastery may hold a 'Kathina' festival is one month long, beginning after the full moon of the eleventh month in the lunar calendar (usually in October). It is a time of giving, for the laity to express gratitude to monks. Lay Buddhists bring donation to temples, especially new robes for the monks.
“Pha Pa” (frequent: Pha Pa Samakki) is a kind of Kathina that has no a specific date to do unlike Kathina. People can do Pha Pa in every season of a year. Doing Pha Pa is mainly for giving new robes for monks and making a donation for the temples.
Doing Kathina and doing Pha Pa can support Buddhism. The merit of doing Kathina and doing Pha Pa will bring the doer auspiciousness and prosperity. People believe when Kathina or Pha Pa doer dies, he or she will go to the heaven and when they are born, they will be in the rich & good family, good-looking and a beloved person of people as well as have a lot of money and properties.
Phothan SuerLek, a living disciple of Khao Or :
Wat Khao Or , Phatthalung Province aged more than 120 is a famous temple for magic and mantras. In fact, Wat Khao Or is the oldest spiritual and magical academy in Thailand. In the past, people who were very interested in magic and mantra went to Wat Khao Or or Samnak Khao Or at that time. Moreover, this place is also famous for holy herbal bath (Chae-Wan -Ya). There are famous people from this temple such as LP Kron, LP Nam, LP Kloy, Kun Pan Tharakrajadet, AJ Plian Hattayanon, etc.
LP Suer Lek was born in 1913, Pak Phanang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Got ordained at the age of 13 at Wat Khao Or . Then he paused monkhood because he had to help his parents earn for living. When financial status was stable, he decided to come back to priesthood at the age of 33 (1947 CE).
LP Suer Lek developed Wat Kuan Sang in 1955. He does not release many amulets, but people there know well that amulets from LP Suer Lek are powerful because he succeeded in magic of Khao Or through his father, a disciple of LP Thongthao (a former abbot of Wat Khao Or ). And also, he once joined the grand blessing Takrut Kao Phayak ceremony together with 8 top guru monks in Nakhon Pathom Province. Additionally, some people say LP Suer Lek studied magic at the same place as LP Pern of Wat Bangphra.
