Information: Buddha Sothon (well-known as Luang Por Sothon) is the famous Buddha image, situated in the chapel of Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan, Chachoengsao Province. For decades, faith in Buddha Sothon has not decreased. People from all regions of Thailand come to pay respect to Buddha Sothon. Thai people believe Buddha Sothon brings security, good luck, wealth and prosperity to people who worship.
Legend of Buddha Sothon:
Buddha Sothon (Luang Por Sothon) is one of holy Buddha images that accidentally floated along the river before being found such as Luang Por Wat Rai Khing of Nakhon Pathom Province, Luang Por Ban Laem of Samut Songkhram Province, etc.
People told the Buddha image floated along Bang Pakong River (a main river of Chachoengsao Province) and stopped in front of Wat Hong (old name of Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan). Crowd tried to pull the Buddha image out of the river, but they failed. Fortunately, there was a special man who knew magic and mantras. He suggested people to build a small spirit house and chant mantra to invite the Buddha image. In process, they put a holy thread around the arms of the Buddha image. With proper method, people is believed to up the Buddha image. Then people placed the Buddha image in Phra Wihan (big chapel) of Wat Hong that was later renamed Wat Sothonwararam Worawihan. People call the Buddha image as Luang Por Sothon after the name of temple.
**Real Experiences of Buddha Sothon Worshipers**
When talking about experiences in protection, prosperity and progression in career, several Thai police were fulfilled after making a wish to Buddha Sothon. One Thai police officer who wore Buddha Sothon medal was shot when charging the criminals, but incredibly the bullet hit Buddha Sothon medal instead, so he was safe!

About LP Foo, Wat Bangsamak, Chachoengsao Province:
Luang Por Foo is a top guru monk who is well-known in Chachoengsao Province. With his sacredness, people call LP Foo God of Bang Pakong (Bang Pakong is name of river running through Chachoengsao Province).
LP Foo was born on 3 December 2465 BE (1922 CE) in Chachoengsao Province. He began monkhood on 1 May 2485 BE (1942 CE). LP Foo is a good monk. He keeps on superb magic from many famous guru monks in the past such as LP Ding of Wat Bang Wua, LP Parn of Wat Bang Hia, LP Jom, LP Luea of Wat Sow Cha Ngok, LP Kong of Wang Sappharot, LP Rerm, LP Eee and so on.
After ordination, LP Foo set his heart on Buddhist studying until he accomplished Nak Tham Tho (intermediate level) and Nak Tham Ek (advanced level). He became an abbot of Wat Bang Samak, Chachoengsao Province in 2505 BE (1962 CE).
All his life, LP Foo devotes himself to Buddhism. He has developed Wat Bang Samak. Today, Wat Bang Samak is prosperous. Also, LP Foo was appointed as a member of Buddhist examination committee and is a Buddhist subject teacher for novices and monks.
**Real Experience** On 19 April 2015, correspondent was reported by Mr. Somkuan Kongphuang aged 65 living in Bangsamak sub-district, Chachoengsao Province that his 25-year-old nephew who just came on his mother-in-law in Tha Takiab district had a trouble with teenagers from different village. Strange teens angrily shot his nephew 2 times, but his nephew was safe because he wore LP Foo medal (93rd birthday batch).
