Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

**Luang Por O whom people give nickname Movable Magic Book Cabinet, with being fond of magic since a child, LP O collected a lot of magical experience until he became an expert. With magic and creativity, amulets by him are various and unusual. For years, LP O has built excitement for amulet circle with uncommon amulets making Thai people and foreigners have wonderful results.

The Background:

This powerful Mae Nark amulet by Luang Por O was created from the mysterious story. One day, an exorcist (name Mor Tham) came to Luang Por O. He asked Luang Por O to help him from illness caused by supernatural power. Therefore, Luang Por O inquired the exorcist.

Mor Tham, an exorcist told before his ambiguous illness began, he met a farmer couple. They came to him for help because they got seriously sick without a reason after digging the ground. Wife said her husband found a stump. Husband did not know what tree a stump was, so he dag out the stump. Then she and her husband got sick. When medical treatment could not work with a couple, they decided to rely on spiritual help from an exorcist.
Mor Tham did meditation and found that Mae Takhian caused the illness for a couple. Actually, it was the stump of Takhian Tree which had a lady spirit inside called Mae Takhian. Because a couple removed the stump where she lived, she was very angry and made them sick as revenge.
Mor Tham made holy water and poured it down on a couple. It seemed the holy water worked with a couple, but when got home, they got sick again. Thus they came to Mor Tham for a second time, but it was not successful and Mor Tham (exorcist) got sick, too.
Mor Tham did meditation again and saw that two spirits Mae Takhian and Mae Nark (a pitiful female spirit who died while giving birth to baby and kept waiting for her husband coming back home) cursed him and a couple to be sick.
In fact, Mae Takhian and Mae Nark are friend spirits. When Mae Nark knew her friend was treated, she came to help. Mae Nark was so mystical that Mor Tham could not deal with. Thus Mor Tham went to Luang Por O for help.

**When Mor Tham met Luang Por O, he told his story. Luang Por O used a better way to help Mor Tham. Luang Por O chanted with mercy for Mae Takhian and Mae Nark. Luang Por O requested them to forgive a couple and Mor Tham. Then a couple and Mor Tham became normal.

**Mae Takhian told Mor Tham (exorcist) to take the rest stump to Luang Por O. When Luang Por O received the stump, he talked with Mae Takhian spirit to make assumption. He asked Mae Takhian if she wanted to join him in helping people. She said yes because she wanted to make up for karma she did.

Luang Por O said to Mae Takhian that he would use the stump powder to make amulet for people to worship. He asked Mae Takhian what style of amulet she wanted. She said she wanted amulet to have her friend picture, Mae Nark with a baby in arms.

**Superb Materials! Luang Por O used mystic Takhian stump powder as main ingredient. Furthermore, he mixed it with more special ingredients such as charm plants (Wan Saneh ), special plants, Phong Yant (from erasing magical scripts written with a holy mass pencil), first edition wax Si Phueng Pathamang Lokee, etc. There is NOT ANY corpse ingredients. However, the amulet has real spirits of Mae Takhian and Mae Nark.

History of Mae Nark:
Mae Nark (well-known as Mae Nark Phra Khanong) is a famous lady spirit in Thailand. In the past, in Phra Khanong district, Bangkok, Mae Nark died while she was giving birth to her baby. After she died, her spirit was not gone because she looked forward to seeing her husband that left her to be a soldier in the city. Every night, people saw her at the pier in front of her house that was very scary. This is a legend of Mae Nark Phra Khanong.
Nowadays, belief in Mae Nark still exists. There is Mae Nark Shrine in Phra Khanong district. People popularly come to pray to Mae Nark statue for help. Top three things that people frequently ask for are love, business and not to be a soldier (especially some men who are not ready for being soldier). Many people are successful in what they pray to Mae Nark and this makes Mae Nark very famous among Thai believers.

More about Guru Monk:
