Then one soldier on a horse back asked him “Why did you come into military zone”, “I haven’t known this place dangerous before. When I came, I just realized. Anyway, I’m still safe. Why the price of each block so different?
Medal of this batch has 2 Imprints:
1. Single-Imprint has 4 blocks

1.2. Block Wong Duean for make silver/ blackened copper
1.3. Block Sai Fon for make blackened copper
1.4. Block Khai Yow for make blackened copper/gold plated copper
2. Double-Imprint for make Nawa Loha/blackened copper/gold plated copper
Reason that this batch has different price because of the different block that make, so the blackened copper in same block with gold is more expensive than other blocks. The second expensive is Block Wong Duean as people think the blackened copper medal from this block will have some mixture of gold and silver substance. Also, block Wong Duean is regarded to have some mixture of silver as well.
History of Making:
This medal was created on celebrating the 80th birthday of LP Ngern in BE2513 (CE1970). As to name of this batch was printed on box, not on the medal, together with the amulet from temple usually put in plastic bag, so there are less for putting in box. With this reason, less people knows about name, so easily call this batch “Side-Portrait LP Ngern Medal”
Book “Chaloem Phra Khun Phra Raj Thammaporn” issued on 20-21 March BE2513 (CE1970) says
Gold medal created for 801 pieces. Has only one block gold. People call “block gold” because it was used to make gold medal.
Silver medal created for 2,513 pieces, used block gold same gold medal. In making, it made gold first and made silver after. However, there is talking about silver medal from block Wong Duean, but the price is less than block gold.
Nawa Loha (9 metals) is a special substance made into double-imprint by using block Wong Duean,
Copper is most amount created for 80,081 pieces with single-imprint and double-imprint and 4 blocks.
Double-imprint copper used block Wong Duean same as double-imprint Nawa Loha. It is different that double-imprint copper medal has thick border both sides. People say made only hundred pieces that is hard to find. Most are blacken copper medals. Also, there is gold plated copper medal. Said the double-imprint was made after single-imprint, but in time of LP Ngern, assumed by stain on the chest of LP Ngern medal.
Copper block gold, this block the medal is smooth front side, but has line from bottom of LP Ngern’s chin going to medal border like 8 a.m. on the clock. Also, having one line from LP Ngern’s nose.
This block usually seen over mass under LP Ngern’s chest and inside border. The more or loss over mass depends on individual medal.
Block Wong Duean, the overall is same block gold, but the background of medal to border line will have a going curve line expected from smoothing into circle when making, so people call Block Wong Duean or like shape of the moon.
Block Sai Fon is said to be twin of Block Wong Duean. The overall is the same, but the medl background does not have circle line, but only messy lines like the rain, assumed happened when smoothing medal, that is rare than block gold.
Block Khai Yow, this block is long oval and has thin Yant line on the back than other blocks
It also has blackened copper in order to maintain the skin of medal. It has 2 styles, “Rom Wat” and “Rom Man Poo”.
“Rom Man Poo” is blackening copper medal. It has anointing oil on the medal to prevent rust. That makes medal look beautiful.
“Rom Wat” is the method of blackening copper medal, said when temple made would bring the leaves of Khi Lek and Sadao to pad at the bottom of alms bowl and then put copper medal on. Then cover with leaves, doing with medal as the layer 1,2,3…until medals were full. After than burning with fire and charcoal. That makes the medal has soot on the skin and iridescent caused by fire on the medal, too.
