Ceremony: LP PaTerng made this MatChaNu amulet in BE 2548 (CE 2005). In BE 2550 (CE 2007) LP PaTerng presented this MatChaNu amulet in the new batch and invited LP Porng Techataro (age 101, an abbot of Wat Panohn Lamduan, Ubonrajchatani Province) to bless this MatChaNu amulet on the 24th December BE 2550 (CE 2007).
Power: MatChaNu is a name of a character in the Indian epic Ramayana who is a son of Hanuman and a mermaid named “Nang SuPhanMatCha”. MatChaNu has a body like a monkey but he has a tail like a fish. People believe MatChaNu or a monkey amulet can protect them from dangers and accidents and make them invulnerable. MatChaNu also appears as a tattoo. Some Thai people go to a guru monk or a guru master to have a tattoo of MatChaNu on their bodies. People also believe that owning MatChaNu will bring good luck and success to the owner as well as increase the power of control.
The Biography of LP PaTerng:
LP PaTerng of Wat DarnJaRernChai, Petchabun Province was born on 2nd December 1928 at Lop Buri Province. Now he is 78 years old. He was novice at the age of 15 with his Uncle LP Aun, who was an abbot of Wat NgaungKam, Nakhon Sawan Province. He has been an expert of concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism way. Also, LP PaTerng studied Dharma and magic under his uncle until the age of 20 when he was finally ordained as a monk. LP Aun was deep knowledge of Dhamma and Sammahdti. LP PaTerng would accompany his uncle whenever he went Tudung, until such time that LP PaTerng has gained sufficient experience to of alone. And also, LP PaTerng commenced studies spiritual tattoos or Yant composition from LP many Guru Masters. LP PaTerng became better known for spiritual tattoos or yant especially the tattoo at present time.
