Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

This temple was built in Ayutthaya Era about BE 2300 (CE 1757) or 10 years before the dissolution of Ayutthaya Era in the second war. This temple is famous for discovery of ancient amulets called among amulet collectors as “Pra Kroo” (ancient amulets).

At this temple has found a pottery amulet broke out from Chedi (the pagoda) in the shape of Lanka which is in the northern corner. It was not known exactly when it was created. This pagoda is located close to the river bank. Surrounded by the houses of the villagers. Before the temple opened the chamber, some children from that area found that the chedi had a crack. and there is an amulet flowing out along the erosion line So keep it together.

Later, the news became known everywhere. In the end, a large number of people dig up the amulet. The way to the temple by Phra Sumongkolmuni, the abbot has informed the Department of Religious Affairs to open the chamber. Because if left like this, people would soon dig in until the chedi was damaged.

The temple opened the chamber on March 25, 1966 with the navy. From HTMS Chanthaburi to help open the chamber at that time, the lower tier found a lotus-petal amulet contained in 4 dragon cauldrons, the upper chamber at the bell neck found relics, Buddha images, various printing amulets, both shin meat and clay and another number of Phra Klip Bua .
