Myth about Naga
Naga is also intertwined with the history of Buddha, as seen in various legends where they play crucial roles in protecting and assisting the enlightened one. The story of Phaya Moot-cha-lin, the great Naga who provides shelter to Buddha under the Indian Oaktree, exemplifies the deep connection between Naga and Buddhism.

About Guru Monk:

Luang Por ThongGleung is an abbot of Wat Chedi Hoi in Pathum Thani Province where is full of oyster fossils more than a million years old. He is a good monk with acceptable magical ability and determined heart of maintaining religion and helping people.

LP Thong Klueng has been an expert in concentration of mindfulness in Buddhist way. He studied magic, astrology and herbs. He learnt mantra from LP Seng of Wat BangNa, Pathum Thani Province who was a teacher of sorcery. He then went to LP OotTaMa of Wat Wangwiwegaram, Kanchanaburi Province to building up knowledge of meditation. After that, he went on a pilgrimage called “Tudong” in the woods alone to Myanmar. Also, LP Thong Klueng studied the art of making efficacious talismans and magic candle from Ajarn SeeYahnTa.

LP Thong Klueng came to Pathum Thani Province and established Wat Chedi Hoi. Before he built this temple, he dreamt of the old city. So, he believed the place where he stayed has history. In 1995 CE, he found a number of ancient shells. This gave LP Thong Klueng an idea of building the big shell pagoda. The pagoda is made of great amount of oyster shells. When it was finished, it was called “Chedi Hoi” that means “shell pagoda”. Chedi Hoi has become a signature of the temple since then. Today, Chedi Hoi is well-known and visited by many Thai and foreign tourists.
