According to the story, every time when Rahu saw the sun and the moon, he would eat them with revenge that they told Lord Vishnu causing him half body. With heat of the sun and power of the moon, Rahu could not eat them, but only swallowed and then spat out. This action is well-known as Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse.

LP NooIn of Wat PahPutTaMongKong, Kalasin Province was born on 18 January 1936 CE Now he is 78 years old. He has been an expert of concentration of mindfulness in Buddhism way. LP NooIn learnt from Phra Ajarn Si Ton who is a top guru monk of Meditation (Vipassana) as well as studied magic from LP Paang and Phra Ajarn Dum. LP NooIn went also called "Tudong" in the deep jungle alone. "Tudong" is a pilgrimage or monk's journey to gain knowledge to build up good Karmic and to know the teaching of Buddha. LP NooIn is very famous guru monk from Southeast of Thailand. Amulets of LP NooIn are well-known among amulet collectors.
The place built this temple was a cemetery in the past. LP NooIn moved to this temple to help LP SomBoon who was abbot of this temple at that time. LP NooIn has been developed the temple until an abbot of PahPutTaMongKong passed away. Then, people invited LP NooIn to become abbot of PahPutTaMongKong.
